This is 3 to 3.5 ounce
topgrain elk leather. It has a
smooth side (skin side) and a rough side (suede side).
The bigger pieces generally have blemishes and/or
scratches and are not suited for manufacturing expensive,
first-class products. They are, however, excellent for craft
projects. Nearly all of this material is prairie gold color.
The smaller pieces are 3" by 6" or so
and are good for trim and making medicine bags, etc. Nearly
all of this material is prairie gold color.
