Chichester, Inc. is the North American distributor for Tymeagain's line of historic heirloom quality toys. We are pleased to offer their full line of swords, shields, cutlasses, and daggers.

Tymeagain really is a family affair with three generations and six members of the Jeal family involved in the business. In fact, we are proud to say 'we are one of the very few real toy making family businesses left in Britain!'

Since 1994, we have specialized in designing and making (mostly by hand) historically inspired toys for castles, palaces and innumerable stately houses throughout the British Isles. Our toy games, hobby horses, swords and bow & arrows are desired and sold by more British historic sites than probably any other makers.

Why our toys are so desired is due, in no small part, to the fact that we really care! We care about the materials we use (always from managed plantations). We care about making safe play-toys (no tacks, nails or screws). We care about the historical education value inherent in each toy (our research is considerable). We care about the service and support we give to our customers. Put simply, we care because we have our own family and we give what we would expect.

NOT ANOTHER THIRD WORLD IMPORT, but made by craftsmen in Britain.

NO TACKS, NUTS-BOLTS, NAILS OR SCREWS, probably the safest of their kind on the market.

WE ARE MEMBERS OF THE GUILD OF MASTER CRAFTSMEN, difficult for toy makers to qualify as members, so most desirable. All our toy labels carry the guild stamp.

OUR HISTORIC SWORD AND BOW+ARROW DESIGNS HAVE BEEN INDEPENDENTLY SAFETY TESTED, BY A U.K. GOVERNMENT APPROVED LABORATORY, unlike many on the market that have been self certificated by importers or the manufacturer. Our unique rope guards protect a child's hand from a glanced blow. Unlike all other guards, the rope will not snap or splinter in play. Our webbing handle, along with the rope guard, takes impact and shock away from the child's hand. Our arrows are tipped with large, clear soft plastic stoppers, making them probably, the safest of any toy arrows.

ONLY NATIVE EUROPEAN WOODS ARE USED, always from managed, sustained forests. We do not glue lengths of wood together to form cheap wood block, but always cut from solid wood. When material choices are made we only use the best materials for that job.

ALL FINISHED WOOD IS BATHED IN RAW LINSEED OIL, then left to dry for three days. This means, not only will the wood look good and last much longer, but periodical wiping with linseed, or another raw vegetable oil, will feed the wood, greatly prolonging the toy's life
