Australian Sheepskins

The Australian sheepskins are soft and luxurious and the skin is clean and supple.  The skins average around 46" to 47" long and 28" to 30" across the middle. They make delightful rugs to step onto as you get out of bed on a cold winter morning.  The pile/hair length is about 2" to 2.5". The ivory skins are natural white color skins (i.e., not bleached).  Please see our gallery of Ivory skins below. They are what we refer to as a very nice "creamy white."

Genus and species: Ovis aries.  Ranch raised.

The sheepskins are a by-product of the food industry.  The sheep were not killed just for their skin. The skins have been chrome-tanned.

No export paperwork is required for shipments outside of the United States.
